The history of Kastva begins around 3,000 years before our era

Cultural heritage is preserved by small local museums, Kuća belice, but also art galleries and studios located in the old city center. A special attraction is Crekvina, once conceived
as a monumental church, and today an open stage on the border between the city and the forest.

One step separates the "heart" of Kastav from untouched nature.

Kastav is surrounded by beautiful forests. In addition to bicycle paths and hiking trails in the Loza and Lužina forests, Kastav also has a modern sports zone, intended for both professional and recreational athletes.

Throughout the year, Kastav leads a rich social life.

The most important of all events is the traditional Bela Nedeja (White Sunday), a three-day festival of young wine that has been held on the first weekend of October for more than 500 years! The end of the year is marked by the Advent program, whilst the beginning of the new year is reserved for carnival events. The summer months are filled with concerts, performances and entertainment events as part of the Kastav Cultural Summer, Jerry Ricks Blues Festival and other events.
